RESUMO:

With the increasing reasearch interest in the PT -symmetric non-Hermitian physics, with some remarks on the field of experimental optics, we are encouraged to investigate the QED with these two properties, non-Hermiticity and PT symmetry. From this perspective, we examine for our QED extension some well-known calculations of usual QED, including: (i) the non-relativistic limit of an scattering electron by a classical eletrocmagnetic field, which results into the Pauli-Schrödinger Hamiltonian; (ii) the vacuum polarization tensor in the Chiral Schwinger Model, which is our QED extension in (1+1) dimensions; and (iii) the chiral anomaly in (1+1) dimensions.
