Beneficial microbes have been a resourceful and impactful asset in agricultural systems by improving quality, health and nutrition of crops. The consortium of such microbes, mainly between fungi and bacteria and within these classes of microbes by combining multiple species or strains, has rendered successful outputs in plant protection, growth and resilience to biotic and abiotic stresses. This paper aims to highlight the benefits of exploring synthetic microbial communities for bioprotection and biostimulation of agricultural crops
