RESUMO:

The pharmaceutical industry has stood out in the world economy for its great importance to the public health. Logistics concentrates one of the most important sources of investment, since medicines needs be transported with safe and fast in agreement with the high demand of hospitals and pharmacy. This project studies a vehicle routing problem presented in the context of Coopservice Company, a pharmaceutical  enterprise located in Reggio Emilia, Italy. Coopservice supports a robust fleet of over 300 vehicles, a nationwide network of warehouses and about one thousand coordinated operators. The multi-attribute VRP faced by this company contains features such as heterogeneous capacitated vehicles, time windows, dynamic planning, priority-based deliveries and a database of real instances that could support decision makers to estimate service times. Our goal is to answer the following research question: "What are the algorithms that can optimize costs and respect all constrains of Coopservice routing planning?". This study aims at contributing with the literature in threefold. First through a mathematical formulation for this problem. Then we will set existent Coopservice data and generate new instances. Finally, we will develop heuristic and metaheuristic approaches to solve such problem.
